FEATURES
NIKKOR wide-angle 7.1x zoom lens with ED Glass offers outstanding precision and sharp resolution. (35mm film-format equivalent: 28 –200 mm.)
Large 1/1.7-inch, 10.1 megapixel CCD image sensor: lets you capture outstandingly detailed images and produce stunningly sharp enlargements.
7.5 cm (3-in.), 921K-dot, LCD monitor: offers wide viewing angle, vivid color reproduction and sharp contrast. Boasts an anti-reflection coating for clear views with minimal reflections, even in bright sunlight.
Lens-shift VR (Vibration Reduction) reduces the effect of camera shake.
Crisp HD (720p) movie recording and built-in stereo microphone: capture the action in stereo sound at an impressive 30 frames per second. Optical zoom and autofocus are available during recording. External microphone can be used with standard microphone jack.
Manual controls: dedicated dials offer instant access to key settings such as to ISO, White Balance and Bracketing. An exposure compensation dial offers direct control of up to ±3 EV compensation in 1/3 EV steps.
COOLPIX RAW format shooting: images can be shot and saved in high-quality NRW+ format, even when using in-camera features such as continuous shooting and Picture Controls.
High ISO (3200 at full size) light sensitivity: reduces the risk of blurred images with fast-moving subjects or in low-light. Manually extendable to Hi1.
Low Noise Night Mode: minimizes noise when shooting at the high end of the camera's ISO range.
Electronic Virtual Horizon: appears over the image on the LCD monitor so you can confirm the camera's position relative to the horizontal plane in real-time.
Zoom memory: lets you set up to six different focal lengths and then switch quickly between them.
Optical viewfinder: helps achieve accurate composition in direct sunlight and other brightly lit conditions when an LCD monitor can be awkward to use.
Tone Level information can be viewed in real-time on the LCD monitor for any point within the framed image.
EXPEED C2: Nikon's advanced image processing system optimizes all camera technologies for superior performance and maximum image quality. Enables finely detailed results, whether you're shooting stills or movies.
Expandable system: compatible with a wide-angle converter lens and a wireless remote control as well as a range of external flash units and microphones.
